Conservatory Recitals
The Conservatory celebrates the progress and accomplishments of our students with a series of formal recitals in the month of June, held at the historic King Arts Complex in downtown Columbus. Care is taken to provide a fun and enthusiastic environment in which to showcase the progress and accomplishments of our students. We are exceedingly proud of all of our students, no matter their age or ability level, and this positive atmosphere allows each student to be the star.
National Piano Month Festival
September is National Piano Month, and The Conservatory celebrates with two special concerts in the month of September. Selected students perform pieces, chosen by them, at the Graves recital hall in Columbus.
The Worthington Music Club Young Musicians Competition
Students audition in front of a panel of judges to be invited to perform at a special concert, concluding with the awarding of cash prizes.
NAACP ACT-SO
This enrichment program is designed to promote high academic and artistic achievement among African-American high school students. The program culminates in the annual ACT-SO national competition, encompassing over 25 categories in the sciences, humanities, performing and visual arts.
Justine Hackman Memorial Competition
This competition, sponsored by the Justine Hackman Cultural Arts Fund, is designed to encourage the musical efforts of young Jewish students and share their accomplishments with the community.

OMEA Solo and Ensemble Competition
The Ohio Music Education Association offers an annual ratings competition for students in junior and senior high in the late winter/early spring. Students prepare and perform an approved selection in front of a judge for constructive comments and ratings.
The Columbus Symphony Young Musicians Competition
This annual competition provides an opportunity for young musicians to perform for professional evaluation, with the winner of the senior division being presented with a cash award. Winners also have the opportunity to perform in the Ohio Theatre during the Columbus Symphony classical series concerts.
The Omega Psi Phi Talent Hunt Scholarship
Established in 1945, this competition offers exposure and encouragement to students gifted in the performing arts, while assisting them in furthering their education. The Talent Hunt program is used as a vehicle to raise funds and provide scholarships to the youth of Columbus.
Association of Christian Schools International
Held at Cedarville University, this festival celebrates music acceptable to Christian standards and of educational value.
The Congressional Black Caucus Spouses Performing Arts Scholarship Program
Established in the year 2000, this scholarship program was developed to ensure that students pursuing a career in the performing arts receive the financial assistance to achieve their goals.
