Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!Welcome to The Christmas Festival of Giving. The Conservatory of Piano annually teams with the Salvation Army and Kroger to sponsor a charity fundraiser to benefit The Salvation Army. We thank our students, faculty and staff who generously donated their time and talents to raise money for this wonderful cause.
On Saturday, December 3, 2011, The Conservatory brought a piano to the café area of the Kroger at Worthington Square Mall from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Conservatory students raised money for the Salvation Army by performing holiday songs and offering music notes, pianos and ornaments for a small donation that were used to decorate our musical Christmas tree during the event.
The Salvation Army provides a lifeline to families in need both during the holidays, and throughout the year. Donations to the Salvation Army provide meals, clothing, toys and necessities for families in need.Volunteers distribute gifts to shut-ins in hospitals and nursing homes, and shelters are open for sit-down dinners. This is but a small sample of what The Salvation Army provides to our community.
Thank you for joining us in sharing our good fortune and in celebrating the joys of the season.
